Hi, Andrew Hutchison here. I have been given the task by Joe to build this Web Site. He has also suggested I write the "about us" page as he is far too modest (which he is) to write about himself.

I have known Joe for a few years primarily as a fellow motorcycling fan and a repairer of his stereo equipment, but in that time I have also seen a fair bit of his work and it has always impressed me. The quality of workmanship is obvious as is the design flair. What I did not know and have found out while chatting to him about what he wanted on this website is the degree of professionalism he pursues in his day to day running of the business. The 'open book' policy where all notes, quotes, plans etc are kept in one folder for both him to work from and for the clients to see. The fact that he only tackles one job at a time and fully completes it to the clients satisfaction before embarking on the next project. His perfectionism and to me painful tidiness are things I was not familiar with until now. Joe is not your 'average Joe' builder!

Joe's modesty also extended to the fact that I was not aware that he had travelled the world soaking up classic architecture for many years when he was younger and had then on returning to Australia worked around the country in different towns and positions (not in the building trade) and during these 'rambling' times discovered the part of Australia he regards as maybe the 'nicest' place in the world, and the place he wished to put down roots and spend the rest of his life, the Sunshine Coast.
